Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy of Left wing extremists – HIGHLIGHTS:

To help Left Wing Extremist (LWEs), who want to abjure violence, surrender and join the mainstream.
Providing gainful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities to the surrender LWEs.
LWE cadres may surrender with or without arms.
Immediate grant of Rs. 2.5 lakh for higher ranked LWE cadres.
Immediate grant of Rs. 1.5 Lakh for middle/lower ranked LWE cadres.
Additional incentives for surrender weapons/ammunition also.
Training in a trade/vocation of their linking or befitting their aptitude and monthly stipend of Rs. 4000/- each for a maximum period of 36 months in rehabilitation camp
LWE cadre shall be free to surrender before any unit of the CAPFs, DM, SP, Range DIG, IG (Ops), IG (special Branch), SDM, SDPO, before any unit of the Army or CAPFs even outside the state.
Adequate protection to Surrendered LWEs
State may consider withdrawal of prosecution cases on case to case basis or may consider providing free legal services.
